Join the Japanese Friendship Garden for a fun week immersed in Japanese arts and culture. We are offering various demonstrations and lessons for language, traditional fashion, etiquette, music, yukata dressing and much more. San Diego Air & Space Museum

San Diego Automotive Museum (SDAM)

Grades 4th thru 6th: Learn about car culture, design and engineering. Create car designs and make your own models. Investigate engine technologies from different eras.  See classic cars up close and personal with local car owners. Learn how to identify different cars from various decades.  Explore alternative automotive technologies past, present and future.

Spanish Village Art Center – Village Arts and Education Foundation

The Village Arts and Education Foundation (VAEF) in Spanish Village Art Center offers a variety of fun camps for those who want to get creative and make some great art projects. Taught by juried Spanish Village Artists, your children will learn art media such as watercolor painting, screen printing, fabric dying, ceramics, acrylic painting, mixed media and more. VAEF is offering both morning and afternoon half-day camps for children in grades 1 - 8.

San Diego Model Railroad Museum

Grades 2nd thru 9th Grade: Explore the multitude of disciplines required to build a model railroad. Working from a track plan, campers will construct an operational, themed scale model, from track laying, ballasting, scenery construction, and circuitry.  Campers will investigate and apply design principles, research unusual railroad cars, and learn why engineers use arches in the construction of railroad bridges. Scaffolded activities accommodate students of different ages.    

San Diego Civic Youth Ballet

Grades Pre-K thru 5th:  Daily ballet classes introduce students the art of ballet as well as the concepts of musicality and performance. Other camp activities include arts & crafts, jazz classes, performance rehearsals, and field trips to other cultural institutions in Balboa Park. Each week of camp culminates in an in-studio performance where family and friends are invited to see what students have learned.

Grades 1st thru 12th: Develop your young artist’s creativity in a fun and stimulating environment in a week-long Summer Camp or Teen Summer Studio held at The San Diego Museum of Art’s Museum Art School. Classes are led by artist instructors and will include art activities exploring a variety of media and trips to the Museum to view summer exhibitions.

San Diego Junior Theatre

Half-day Camp (Creative Play): Pre-K through 1st Grade only / Full-day Camp: Grades K thru 12th.  Junior Theatre offers introductory to advanced one- to two-week day camps in voice, acting and dance, culminating in an end-of-camp presentation. Every session explores a different theme, so students are welcome to sign up for multiple sessions. Early drop-off and aftercare are available.
