Parking & Tram
Parking in Balboa Park lots is free. Park in the Inspiration Point parking lot (on the east side of Park Blvd., between Presidents Way and the Balboa Park Activity Center) for easy access to the heart of Balboa Park via the free tram. There are also numerous smaller lots throughout the Park. There are electric car charging stations located in the Pan American Plaza, Reuben H. Fleet and San Diego Zoo parking lots.

Valet parking is available for a small fee in front of The Prado Restaurant at the House of Hospitality. Hours of service are: Tuesday through Thursday from 5:00 p.m. through 10:00 p.m.; Friday from 5:00 p.m. through midnight; Saturday from 10:00 a.m. through Midnight; Sunday from 10:00 a.m. through 10:00 p.m. There is no valet parking on Mondays.
The free tram provides access to Balboa Park's museums and attractions and runs daily from 9am to 6pm. You can park in the Inspiration Point lot and wait at Tram Central, a shady arbor with benches. The tram will deliver you to into the heart of Balboa Park.
The Fall and winter hours of tram operation are 9:00 AM-6:00 PM daily. These hours are in effect November 1 through May 31.
The Summer tram hours of operation are 9:00 AM-8:00 PM Daily. These hours are in effect June 1 through October 31.
Trams pick up from Tram Central every 8-10 minutes (at peak times, 20-40 minutes). Riders may also board at one of the designated pick-up areas around the Park. Make your first stop the Balboa Park Visitors Center (stop 1 after Tram Central) in the House of Hospitality where you can pick up a bi-monthly Events Guide and a detailed map.
The Balboa Park Tram is provided as a free public service by the City of San Diego Park and Recreation Department.
