A free "non-concert" choral event that gives listeners of all ages a chance to experience choral music in a way they've never heard (or seen!).
Beginning at multiple locations in Balboa Park along El Prado, visitors will hear madrigal singers as they spontaneously appear, find themselves carried away in a sing-along, and ushered into the TheNAT (San Diego Natural History Museum) to enjoy a multi-level choral experience.
"Haydn in Plain Sight" is a dryly-witty construction by composer Rick Burkhardt, commissioned by the La Jolla Symphony & Chorus, and loosely based on Haydn's "The Seasons". The fun begins nears the Bea Evenson Fountain.
NOTE: To participate in this free event, meet at the Bea Evenson Fountain at 3:00pm to be escorted into the Museum by the performers. Guest who wish to enter the Museum before 3:00pm will be asked to pay Museum admission.
