Annual Cherry Blossom Festival is free with admission to the Garden. The Garden will also participate in Balboa Park Family Day and offer children 12 & under free entrywith a paid adult admission. Tickets for food and games will be sold separately.
One of the most beautiful seasons in the Garden is spring when the cherry trees blossom into delightful pink clouds. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the Garden while enjoying delicious Japanese food, arts and crafts, unique gifts, entertainment, cultural demonstrations and an extensive new children’s activities area- to include a giant inflatable Caterpillar Crawl and hands on activities to promote environmental sustainability.
The Garden is very excited to announce this year’s festival will also be held in the Garden’s expansion territory not slated for completion and official public opening until 2014. Visitors will get a chance to stroll through the Garden’s additional nine acres in progress where approximately 150 additional cherry trees reside.
