Making Room for Leftovers this Thanksgiving Weekend
In addition to providing ample scraps to your household pets, you’ll undoubtedly want to polish off those delicious Thanksgiving leftovers at some point this weekend. But after stuffing your out-of-town guests’ guts with a monstrous Thanksgiving Day meal, how are you going to work it off and make room for more?
For starters, Balboa Park has a wide variety of trails suitable for any level of fitness, from paved level pathways through garden landscaping and historic architecture to dirt nature trails along steep canyon slopes. You can also burn off plenty of calories by visiting all your favorite critters at the vast and duly world famous San Diego Zoo.
Suffering from tryptophan overload and need a little break? Then immerse yourself in a relaxing IMAX film at the Reuben H. Fleet, where Under the Sea and the Oscar-nominated film, Amazon (pictured), are currently showing. You can also learn how birds, like the turkey, probably descended from feathered dinosaurs in the Natural History Museum’s presentation of Dinosaurs Alive! in 3-D no less.
