MOPA's Deputy Director is "part of the senior management team and will lead the museum’s operational needs across all areas of MOPA’s activities and programs. The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years of senior leadership experience in operations at a museum, preferably an art museum. The Deputy Director will work in close collaboration with the Director, Department Directors, and the Board of Trustees. She or he must have direct experience in finance, human resources, and management."

For this position, the Mingei is looking for someone to “maintain the general security of the facility and assure the safety of its staff and visitors. Interact with the public to ensure the general security and safety of facility and staff and visitors in a manner consistent with the philosophy and safety of the public and the museum and the museum values.
