Celebrate Love in the Park

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and the Park is here to make that day special whether you decide to spend it with your significant other, family, friends or just want to enjoy some quality “me time.” During the week of Feb. 14, the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center and theNAT are staying up late to show movies that will warm the heart. But if you are more interested in warming your stomach, Albert’s Restaurant in the Zoo and The Prado are offering special courses.

 

For the Love of Butterflies

Discover a true love story through the migration of monarch butterflies and get lost in the beauty of the “Flight of the Butterflies” film shown on the IMAX screen.  It takes you on a journey through Fred Urquhart’s life as he falls in love with these colorful insects and marries a fellow butterfly enthusiast. Following the screening, monarch scholar and conservationist Bill Toone will share his personal love story about butterflies and how we can protect them.

Albert’s Valentine’s Celebration of Love Dinner

Dine next to a private waterfall or above lush gardens in the Lost Forest. Guests at Albert’s Restaurant will be able to choose a starter, entrée and dessert from a menu made with love. Choices include a warm blue crab bisque, succulent grilled Angus New York Steak, and delectable chocolate molten lava cake. A bottle of house wine is included for each couple to make this night extra special.

Want to spend your night with Johnny Depp and chocolate? You’re in luck! The award-winning film “Chocolat” is coming to the Museum’s giant screen theater. It tells a story of how a small chocolate shop stirs up drama in quaint French village. See how love and darn good chocolate win over the hearts of the townspeople. After the movie, you can present your Museum admission ticket to The Prado Restaurant to receive $5 off your purchase (limit 2 tickets per table, $30 minimum). 

Champagne Dinner at the Prado

Travel the world in upscale food and champagne. The Prado presents a four-course dinner with dishes and bubbly from the most romantic spots on the globe.
